Y5-48 boiler-induced draft fans can be made into two types: right rotation or left rotation. When the fan is viewed from the motor end, if the impeller rotates clockwise to turn right, it is indicated by "right"; if the impeller rotates counterclockwise, it is indicated by "left".
The outlet position of the Y5-48 boiler-induced draft fan is expressed by the outlet angle of the casing. The "clockwise" and "counterclockwise" fans can be made into three angles: 0 °, 90 °, and 180 °.
The rotation mode of the Y5-48 boiler-induced draft fan is C type, and D type and the connection of the motor and fan is directly rotated by pulley and elastic coupling.
Y5-48 boiler-induced draft fan is mainly composed of an impeller, casing, air inlet, regulating valve, and transmission unit.

Impeller: composed of 12 backward inclined flat blades made of Q345 (16Mn), welded between the arc front plate and the flat rear plate. The formed impeller has passed the static and dynamic balance tests, so it runs smoothly, has high strength and wear resistance, and has a long service life.
Casing: welded with steel plate to form a spiral case. № 8 above "right" and "left" turn to general use.
Air inlet: the converging-diverging air inlet is made into an integral structure and fixed on the inlet side of the casing with bolts.
Drive set: the main shaft is made of high-quality steel. It adopts a ball bearing, two parallel bearing seats, lubricated with No. 2 calcium-sodium base grease or molybdenum disulfide grease, and self-cooled fan blades, with a simple structure.
Regulating valve: Y5-48 is equipped with regulating valve to regulate the flow of the fan. The regulating valve is installed in front of the air inlet axially. It is flexible and convenient due to the external transmission structure. The adjustment range is from 90 degrees (fully closed) to 0 degrees (fully open). The handle of the regulating valve above № 8 is on the right side from the air inlet. Push the handle of clockwise rotation fan from bottom to top, from full close to fully open, and pull the handle of counterclockwise rotation fan from top to bottom from full close to full open.
In order to make all parts of the regulating valve work normally, it must be well-lubricated. For the induced draft fan, due to the high gas temperature, the lubricating grease adopts high temperature (260 ºC) lubricating grease, which can still ensure the lubricating effect during high-temperature operation.

Precautions for installation of Y5-48 boiler-induced draft fan
1. Before installation, all components of the fan shall be comprehensively inspected. For example, whether the machine parts are complete, whether the connection of each part is tight, whether the main machine parts such as impeller, main shaft, and bearing are damaged, and whether the transmission set is flexible. If problems are found, they should be repaired.
2. During installation, pay attention to check that there are no tools or sundries falling into or left in the casing. In order to prevent rusting and reduce the difficulty of disassembly, some joint surfaces should be coated with lubricating grease or mechanical oil. The joint surface between the fan and the foundation and the joint surface of the inlet and outlet air pipes shall be carefully adjusted to make them match naturally, and the forced connection is not allowed, and the pipe weight is not allowed to be added to each component of the fan, and attention shall be paid to ensuring the horizontal position of the fan.
Installation requirements:
(1) Install according to the position and size are shown in the drawing. In order to obtain high efficiency, especially ensure the axial and radial clearance data between the air inlet and the impeller.
(2) For V-belt drive, the groove corresponding to the V-belt pulley of the main shaft and the V-belt pulley of the motor shall not be misaligned. After the tape is put on, the safety cover (made by the user) shall be installed for safety.
(3) For the coupling drive, the different centricity of the fan main shaft and motor shaft, and the non-parallelism of both ends of the coupling shall not exceed 0.05mm.
(4) When installing the regulating valve, be careful not to install it in the reverse direction, and ensure that the air inlet direction is consistent with the impeller rotation direction.
(5) After the installation of the fan, try to move the drive set to check whether it is too tight or scratched with the fixed part. If there is any, it should be eliminated.
Y5-48 boiler-induced draft fan maintenance
1. Regularly remove the dust and dirt inside the fan, especially on the blades, according to the service conditions to prevent corrosion.
2. The lubricating oil in the bearing box must be replaced once every six months under normal conditions, except during machine repair.
3. During operation, check whether the bearing temperature is normal, and the bearing temperature rise should be less than 40 ºC.
4. When the fan is started, stopped, or operated if abnormal conditions such as abnormal noise, vibration and smell are found, it shall be stopped immediately for maintenance.
5. In order to ensure personal safety, the maintenance of the fan must be carried out during shutdown and power failure.
